06 Dec 2018 The compact LD15CHA Laser Diode Driver delivers industrial grade power up to 15 A and 28 V output with bandwidth up to 600 kHz. The clipping current limit ensures the limit will never be exceeded, even when modulation is used to vary the output. Reaching the current limit will never disable current to the laser. A slow start circuit safely ramps the output current to setpoint. Protection is provided for both brownout and overvoltage. The LD15CHA offers Convenience is built in, with its small size and easy mountability, the unit can be attached directly to an optics table or designed into a larger system. Two trimpots set the current limit and current setpoint, while five spring loaded terminal blocks allow for fast wiring. Monitors for LD current, PD current, LD current limit, and LD setpoint make configuring and monitoring operation simple. The Wavelength Electronics LD15CHA is ideal for material processing, micro-machining and industrial cutting applications using laser diode bars or stacks.
