Phoenix Optical Technologies presents Armourdillo Toughened Glass

This unique optical glass has been designed for chemical strengthening to protect optical systems used in defence applications and or rugged environments. 

Armourdillo Glass, while not bulletproof, can be used to replace standard optical windows offering your systems a level of protection without affecting the optical quality of your systems. Unlike thermal toughening our in house chemical strengthening process improves the strength of the window without affecting the windows optical performance.

Armourdillo Glass is currently used by blue chip companies around the world for new designs and ongoing programmes. Our products have been qualified and are being used in bird strike tested applications.

All parts are manufactured and chemically strengthened in our facility based in North Wales, UK.
