Look no further! Knight Optical has successfully launched a range of Stock Dichroic Filters, for use within Entertainment and Design Industry.

Within the Entertainment and Design Industry, Dichroic Filters are used as they can filter out unwanted light from a white light source to provide desired light that is perceived by an audience to be a highly saturated or intense colour.

This is just what you need to help set the atmosphere for whatever event your planning.

So how do they work? Well I’ll let you in on a little secret… It’s something called a thin film dielectric coating which is applied on glass, and those coatings are designed to offer high transmission over a specific wavelength while reflecting all other wavelengths, having negligible absorption.

We hold a massive inventory of Bandpass, Long pass, Short pass, Band-blocking and Colour-correction filters.

Stock sizes of 12.5mm and 25mm diameter; and 50x50mm squares x 1mmthk.
425mmdia stock sheets are kept in stock for your specific requirements.
Custom shapes and sizes at short notice, in most cases turned around within 1 week.
Coated on Borofloat substrates for excessive thermal shock applications.
Alternative thickness substrates available.

All our Dichroic Filters are fully inspected on their quality in our ISO 9001 certified, state-of-the-art Metrology laboratory, using our Varian Cary 5000 spectrophotometers which are fitted with a UMA. This allows us to work to the highest QA standards and meet the tolerance specifications on these precision components.
