Toptica launch widely tunable laser without any mode-hopping | |
13 Jan 2016 Lasers that support wide and mode-hop-free wavelength tuning are beneficial for applications in quantum optics like resonant excitation of quantum dots or microcavities, as well as spectroscopy or component testing. TOPTICA’s tunable laser CTL is the perfect tool for such demanding tasks. It guarantees completely mode-hop-free wavelength tuning across a range of up to 110 nm, with central wavelengths of 950, 1500 or 1550 nm. It reaches an ultra-high scan resolution due to its narrow linewidth of typically 5 kHz (measured in 5 µs), combined with a high output power of up to 80 mW. With the fully digital, low noise and drift DLC pro controller, the CTL laser is easy to use and operate via touch-screen and knobs as well as via remote PC GUI and command language.
