10 Jul 2013 The G&H Fused Polarization Matching (PM) Axis-Matched Low Ratio Tap (LRT) enables low power monitoring of a PM signal path.
characteristics provide exceptional reliability at high powers. Wide temperature range operation with TDL typically <0.002dB/°C for the tap path. These high performance parts are available at a range of wavelengths with different fiber options.
According to Product Director Toby Reid, “The new LRT offers a highly stable monitor of fiber laser output power. The LRT is highly immune to fluctuations in laser polarization extinction ratio and has a reduced temperature dependence when compared to a standard PM tap coupler”
Fused PM LRTs can therefore be readily specified in a wide variety of applications, enabling rapid design cycles and new project builds. Standard parts are available at wavelengths from 900 – 1600nm. Other wavelengths or coupling ratios available on request. For further information please see the datasheet or e-mail us at e-mail.
