14 Jan 2013 WhiteLaseTM micro: Compact, high-performance, supercontinuum fiber laser now available for less than $20,000 The WhiteLase™ micro from Fianium is an ultra-broadband supercontinuum fiber laser combining the spectral properties of a lamp with the high beam-quality and brightness of a laser. Covering a continuous wavelength range from less than 450nm to greater than 2200nm, the system offers exceptional value for both scientific and OEM customers. The WhiteLase micro, based on Fianium’s ultrafast mode-locked fibre laser technology, operates at Megahertz repetition rates, with picosecond pulses, making it suitable for both lifetime and steady-state applications. With total power exceeding 200mW, and more than 20mW in the visible region, the WhiteLase micro is a versatile tool that can be utilised in multiple applications including:
• Optical component characterisation • Spectroscopy • Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) • Fluorescence imaging • Inspection and illumination. The WhiteLase micro is compatible with all Fianium WhiteLase plug-and-play tunable filters creating an ultra-broadband tunable laser source. For further information on the WhiteLase micro, tunable filters and other Fianium products, please visit the website www.Fianium.com or contact Fianium at info@fianium.com Main specifications for WhiteLaseTM micro supercontinuum laser:
