14 Jan 2013 PhotonTec Berlin GmbH introduces new 1470nm fiber coupled diode laser emitting 2W and 3.5W from a fiber of 105µm core and NA0.15 or NA0.22. With new process and material technology the 1470nm high power diode chip is able to be mounted on an aluminium nitride (ALN) submount ensuring thermal dissipation and simultaneously an electrically isolated diode package. This design eliminates the use of TEC for electrical isolation and allows direct heat removal by heat sink.
The 1470nm laser diodes find many applications in medical treatment, label printing, remote sensing, etc.
