12 Dec 2012 Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs) have attracted wide range of applications in the communications as well as the sensor industries. FBGs can perform many primary functions such as spectral reflection and filtering, in a highly efficient and low loss manner. The gratings are permanent on the fiber after proper annealing process. The reflective spectrum is very stable over the time. These characteristics are very useful in many applications in optical fiber communications. FBGs are commonly employed as wavelength lockers in pump lasers, add/drop multiplexing, gain flattening of erbium-doped fiber amplifiers, and chromatic dispersion compensation.
RaySung employs 26 work stations within its Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) facility, enabling a monthly production capacity of nearly 70,000 pieces. In addition to Uniform FBG products, RaySung also specializes in manufacturing Apodized FBG, Narrow-Bandwidth FBG and Double-Clad FBG products. The specifications for RaySung's FBG products are listed in the tables below.
