27 Aug 2009 Lasermet’s new laboratories, accredited by UKAS for the testing of laser and LED products, provide rigorous testing which includes a thorough investigation of each component in the drive circuit. Laser safety experts,Lasermet,have recently expanded into new premises which includes enlarged state-of-the-art testing and calibration laboratories. These facilities are the only test house in the UK (other than NPL) to be accredited by UKAS for the testing of laser and LED products.
Laser Safety Standards EN and IEC 60825-1 and -12 require electronic drive circuits to be checked, since failure may present not only a classification problem but also, in some cases, a serious safety issue.
Lasermet provide rigorous testing which includes a thorough investigation of each component in the drive circuit. Customers are provided with a report detailing the measurement test results and outlining failure modes of drive electronics and other reasonably foreseeable failures affecting safety. |
