06 Jul 2009 In addition to the wide range of avalanche photodiodes, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce our new APD modules which can detect even the smallest amount of light quickly and reliably. The heart of our APD modules is a low-noise Si or InGaAs avalanche photodiode with a preamplifier and an integrated high voltage power supply. The built-in temperature compensation facilitates extremely reliable operation of this module at a constant gain across a wide temperature range.
Because all the components are stored in a small, shielded metal housing (approx. 75 x 56 x 26 mm3), only a standard 12 VDC power supply is required for operation. This makes the use of an APD and the detection of even the smallest amount of light as easy as pie. OEM versions and customer-specific modules are available upon request.
Applications include data transmission, laser radars, rangefinders, or biomedical systems. |
