23 May 2008 Thorlabs offers a new family of thermal sensors for optical power meters. The new S300 Series comprises high sensitive broadband sensors for power measurements up to 10 W at µW resolution, sensors for lasers of medium power range up to 250 W and an average power density of max. 4 kW/cm², plus specialized sensors for high power Excimer and YAG lasers withstanding very high power densities – for the latter up to max. 100 GW/cm² peak power.This sensor family is compatible with Thorlabs PM100 and PM300 Series power meter consoles.
