02 Sep 2008 An advanced photonic integrated circuit simulator for modelling both active and passive circuits. This advanced photonic integrated circuit (PIC) simulator is capable of modelling PICs consisting of both active and passive elements and includes a sophisticated active model for simulating SOA's, laser diodes, even tuneable laser designs, while taking much physics into account such as carrier diffusion, spatial hole burning, heating effects. At the same time it can model large passive circuits efficiently. Being a time-domain model it will efficiently model many wavelengths simultaneously. |
