17 Jul 2007 SUI (Sensors Unlimited, Inc.), part of Goodrich Corporation www.oss.goodrich.com/sui, leaders in shortwave infrared (SWIR) imaging sensors and near-infrared (NIR) camera systems, introduces the new SU640KTSX-1.7RT Camera. SUI’s newest camera offers the highest sensitivity available in the 0.9 micron to 1.7 micron spectrum with a 640 x 512 pixel format on a 25 micron pitch, making it ideal for passive surveillance and for use with imaging lasers. The lightweight, SWIR camera delivers clear, real-time video imaging in a variety of lighting conditions, from starlight to direct sun light.
Compact and easy to integrate, the indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) KTSX is available in a small OEM module (<4 in.³ and <90 g) for integration into larger systems. The all-solid-state imager features room temperature operation with onboard Automatic Gain Control (AGC), image enhancement, and built-in non-uniformity corrections (NUCs).
Applications include covert surveillance with passive 24/7 operation, imaging of laser rangefinders and target designators, imaging spectroscopy, astronomy and any other tasks requiring low-light-level SWIR imaging. The SU640KTSX is designed for integration into other systems such as unmanned ground or aerial vehicles and other handheld or robotic systems.
The company will be premiering the new high sensitivity KTSX camera at SPIE’s DSS (Defense and Security Symposium) April 10 -12, 2007 in Orlando, FL. Please stop by Booth #801 for a live demonstration.
SUI (Sensors Unlimited, Inc.), part of Goodrich Corporation, has pioneered the design and production of shortwave infrared components, cameras and systems utilizing advanced indium gallium arsenide imaging technology for industrial, commercial, military, agricultural and biomedical markets.
