As femtosecond sources move out of the research laboratory and into the industry the finesse offers a pump source which is affordable, small and robust that does not compromise on performance.
Laser Quantum's proprietary cavity design means that all models exhibit ultra low noise, excellent stability and M2 of near unity. The cavity is fibre fed from the pump diode, which is housed in the power supply. This removes the heat load from the head, enabling stable, low spatial-mode operation and eliminates the need for external cooling. The compact design also means it can be easily integrated into sub-systems.
Features include: built in modem port allowing remote service management, automatic power control, compact and intelligent power supply, 22,000 hour MTBF diode life-time with 2 year diode warranty, no external cooling, physical shutter and remote computer control.
Other features include a zero-stress cavity for permanent alignment, intuitive controls and an RS232 interface. The power supply features a large LCD screen and intelligent software implementing power-feedback, which rigorously maintains the user’s desired power level.
