15 May 2007 Luminit's Glass-on-Glass diffusers for lasers and xenon arc lamps applications is now available in the UK through BFi OPTiLAS Ltd. (8J/cm2). The transmission efficiency of these diffusers is over 90% from the UV to NIR wavelength range. These diffusers are made from a holographically recorded randomised surface relief structure that is replicated directly into a layer of liquid glass (SolGel) on a glass or UV fused silica substrate and then cured to form a high durable glass diffuser. The non-periodic surface relief structure ensures precise angular control and achromatic homogenization of light without sacrificing transmission efficiency (up to 92%).
High temperate / high damage threshold glass on glass diffusers are available in standard 25mm and 50mm diameter sizes in light shaping angles of 0.5º, 1º, 5º and 11º. Other sizes (up to 4” x 4”) and shapes are also available on request.
