18 Apr 2007 Pacer, a leading supplier of optoelectronic, display and laser solutions, has announced the introduction of a range of new Varitronix 3.5-inch and 5-inch high performance colour TFT LCD displays. The 3.5-inch displays use white LED backlighting to enable highly reliable, low power operation and a wide operating temperature range (-20 deg C to + 70 deg C).
Both the 3.5-inch and 5-inch displays are available in a choice of quarter VGA or full VGA. Low cost and a common footprint for the quarter VGA and full VGA versions provide designers with an easy product upgrade path. The new displays are ideal for handheld instrumentation due to their small physical size, low power requirements, high reliability and optional touchscreen. All displays in the new range are fully compliant with the RoHS directive.
