22 Dec 2006 Cryogen free optical cryostats enabling to achieve temperatures as low as 3K without the need for cryogen. This optical cryostat cools samples using ActivelyCooledTM technology so no liquid cryogen is required. It is designed for optical experiments that require:
Base temperatures down to 2.8K without the need for cryogens
Sample in vacuum
Generous optical access using 4 radial and 1 axial window
Options:
Cooling technologies:
There are four different OptistatAC-V models.
Two models are based on Gifford-McMahon refrigerators (GMR), the OptistatAC-V 01 and OptistatAC-V 04. Their base temperature is respectively 9K and 22K. They provide a low cost option and can be used in any orientation
Two models are based on Pulse Tube refrigerators (PTR), the OptistatAC-V 12 and OptistatAC-V 14. They offer a lower base temperature without using a displacer thus reducing the level of vibration
Narrow gap tail option: (Here link to 49-Narrow gap OptistatAC-V 02). The OptistatAC-V 04, OptistatAC-V 12 and OptistatAC-V 14 can be supplied with a narrow gap tail(2- outer dimension) for applications requiring integration into an electromagnet
Compressor: Air-cooled or water-cooled compressors are available
