19 Dec 2006 More and more hermetic feedthroughs are necessary for applications such as data transmission in vacuum technology, pressure chambers, and marine technology. These can be ordered with LASER COMPONENTS effective immediately. The tested and certified feedthroughs can be used for applications in a vacuum up to 10^9 Torr and with an excess pressure of up to 1,000 bars.
The following options are available:
* FC connectors for single-mode (SM) and gradient index (GI) fibers
* SMA connectors for multi-mode (MM) fibers
The newest option available in this program:
* ST connectors for MM fibers
* FC/APC connectors for SM fibers
The GI and MM fibers are available with a fiber core diameter of 50 to 100 µm. The hermetic feedthroughs with polarization-maintaining fibers are particularly noteworthy. Multi-channeled or hybrid designs are available upon request.
