31 Oct 2006 High reflectors for q-switched, diode pumped, solid state lasers operating at 355 nm and 266 nm. A new series of flat mirrors from Alpine Research Optics (ARO, Boulder, CO) are specifically intended for beam delivery applications of q-switched ultraviolet lasers. The standard product line covers both 355 nm (third harmonic) and 266 nm (fourth harmonic) output. These mirrors are fabricated on fused silica substrates and are offered with a choice of 1 inch (25.4 mm) and 2 inch (50.8 mm) diameters. Nominal reflectivities are 97% (0° incidence) and 95% (45° incidence) at 266 nm, and 99.5% at 355 nm (0° and 45° incidence). Surface flatness is specified at λ/10 at 633 nm, with a surface quality of 10-5 (over an 85% clear aperture).
These high performance flat mirrors are intended for general purpose beam steering tasks in drilling, scribing, cutting, perforating and marking systems for semiconductor fabrication, advanced packaging, industrial manufacturing and medical equipment manufacturing. They are designed and fabricated to deliver an optimum combination of high reflectivity, superior laser damage resistance and excellent mechanical durability. For both OEMs and end users, these characteristics result in superior process consistency, high machine uptime and minimum total cost of ownership. |
