18 Oct 2006 UV15LV is a high strength UV curable epoxy that exhibits an exceptionally low shrinkage upon cure. It produces durable, strong, tough and chemically resistant coatings, bonds and seals.
Master Bond introduces UV15LV to its fast growing family of one component UV curable polymer systems. UV15LV is a high strength UV curable epoxy that exhibits an exceptionally low shrinkage upon cure. It produces durable, strong, tough and chemically resistant coatings, bonds and seals which are serviceable over the wide temperature range of -50°C to over 150°C (-60°F - 300°F).
Post curing the UV15LV at 90° to 125°C for 30 minutes will give it a glass transition temperature, Tg, over 125°C, far higher than conventional type UV systems. UV15LV is regarded to be safe to use, as no solvents or other volatiles are released during the curing process. Cured coatings feature excellent adhesion to both metallic and nonmetallic substrates substrates. Impact strengths are high — Gardner impact measurements exceed 320 inch #. UV15LV is now available in syringes for convenient manual or automatic dispensing as well as in pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon containers.
