Ultracompact, short-pulse solid-state lasers with output wavelengths of 946, 1047 and 1064 nm and peak powers of up to 50 kW are available from Arctic Photonics. The lasers are based on a discreet optical design, not a microchip, with each element bonded to a thermally matched cavity frame. The result is average output powers and repetition rates which are typically several times that available from microchip devices while maintaining near diffraction limited beam quality (M2 < 1.1). Standard configurations used as pump sources for supercontinuum generation in photonic crystal and standard optical fiber, excitation sources for microLIBS, and LIDAR transmitters are offered. Due to the modular design, output pulse formats can be easily tailored to specific customer requirements. |
