02 Jun 2006 A wide range of red and green laser pointers from Dream Lasers has been introduced by Scitec Instruments. The range includes <1 mW (Class 2) pointers for general-purpose use, such as lectures and presentations, as well as high power versions (up to Class 4) for professional use such as large outdoor presentations, astronomy and stargazing, or laboratory experiments. Waterproof versions are also offered.
Red laser pointers have outputs at either 635 nm or 650 nm. Output powers from <1 mW up to 50 mW are available. For output power levels of up to 20 mW these are the conventional pen style. The higher output power versions, which are also waterproof, have a grenade shape.
Green laser pointers operate at 532 nm and output powers from <1 mW up to 130 mW are available. These are offered with a pen style for output powers of up to 25 mW and are powered by two AAA or N-type batteries. Higher output power versions (50 mW to 130 mW) have the grenade style and are mains powered. Waterproof versions are available with output powers of 20 mW up to 150 mW.
Corporate branding of these products is available. Information, such as a company name, can be either printed or laser engraved onto the laser pointers.
