Photline Technologies introduces new LiNb03 modulators for 800 nm | |
16 Jan 2006 Photline Technologies announced today the launch of the latest addition to its NIR-LN series modulators for near infrared : the NIR-MPX800 is a phase modulator especially designed to operate at 800 nm. The intrinsic and unparalleled benefits of LiNbO3 modulators make them attractive devices for a variety of applications outside from the classical telecommunication domain : fiber optics sensors, laser material processing, free space communication, instrumentationÂ… Those applications often use transmission wavelengths outside from the common 1300 nm and 1550 nm windows used by fiber optics telecommunications, thus limiting the choice of available optical components. The new NIR-MPX800 800 nm phase modulator is the latest addition to the NIR-LN modulators family designed for the 1000 nm region and introduced by Photline in 2004 to offer to the engineers of emerging applications a choice of modulation devices comparable to what exists for the telecommunications and with bandwidths up to above 10 GHz. Thanks to this new modulator, Photline is now offering the most comprehensive range of LiNbO3 modulations solutions from 800 nm to 1700 nm . This demonstrates Photline sound technological foundations and the continued commitment of the company to bring to the market a complete range of modulation solutions for a wide variety of applications, at cost effective price NIR-LN modulators family will be displayed on Photline booth (6151) at Photonics West 2006, January 24-26, San-Jose, CA. About Photline : Photline Technologies is a supplier of lithium niobate (LiNbO3) based modulation solutions serving the markets of telecommunication, defense and aerospace, sensing and instruments, research. |
