Frost & Sullivan Names Nemotek Technologie as the “Global Entrepreneurial Company of the Year”

Date Announced: 14 Jun 2011

Recognized for continued innovation and leadership in the growing wafer-level camera module market.

SALA AL JADIDA, MOROCCO – June 14, 2011 – Nemotek Technologie, a manufacturer of customized wafer-level cameras (WLC) for portable applications, today announced that it has been named by Frost & Sullivan as the “Global Entrepreneurial Company of the Year.” The company’s product differentiation in wafer lens and wafer-level camera modules (WLC) as well as its ability to maintain a strong industry presence in a very competitive marketplace has made Nemotek the winner of this year’s award.

According to Dr. Rajender Thusu, a sensors and instruments analyst for Frost & Sullivan, Nemotek continues to outperform its competition by continuously evolving itself and keeping changing customer needs as the core of its product strategy. In a short span of its existence the company is recognized as an enabler in wafer based micro-optic solutions. By seamlessly updating its various micro-optic platforms with minimal disruption to its existing user base, Nemotek is able to reach potential users with equal ease.

“When looking at the large scope of the camera module makers, Nemotek exhibits the high entrepreneurial quality of a leader,” said Dr. Thusu. “The company’s wafer-level camera solution delivers both universal and customized solutions for a highly acclaimed end user-experience for a variety of applications including mobile and smartphones, notebooks, medical and security. Nemotek now joins a prestigious list of organizations that demonstrate leadership and cutting-edge innovation. It is a ‘company to watch’ and we look forward to what Nemotek produces in the future.”

Nemotek works to streamline the supply chain, offering lens to full range of cameras. By utilizing the benefits of glass wafer technology replacing traditional plastic lens, Nemotek produces a more advanced, higher resolution and lower distortion camera lens. The company continues to push industry limitations and offer a high quality lens and complete WLCs that can be tailored to meet specific requirements.

Recently, Nemotek produced a one-element lens with a very wide field of view compared to competing wafer lens models available in the market – achieved by overcoming the barriers of a traditional lens and exploring new territories in the wafer-level technology.

“To be recognized with this award is a huge accomplishment for our team,” said Hatim Limati, vice president of sales and marketing for Nemotek Technologie. “We strive to redefine the WLC market by offering a solution that is higher quality and meets customer’s specific requirements. Today’s award win is clear validation of our achievement and ability to break down industry barriers to produce a high performing WLC solution.”

Frost & Sullivan leverages its unique global research platform to identify the world’s leading organizations. Tapping the expertise of over 1,800 analysts and consultants who monitor more than 300 industries and 250,000 companies, the firm is able to determine the best-in-class companies that exemplify growth, innovation and leadership.
