pE 800fura LLG SQ

Andover, UK -- Last year saw the launch of CoolLED’s  eight-channel pE-800 Illumination System. After its phenomenal success, we took a closer look at expanding this ground-breaking technology for the calcium imaging community by swapping in a 340 and 380 nm LED.

And here’s what we came up with – the pE-800fura for lightning-fast calcium imaging, pH monitoring, ratiometric fluorescence, FRET and everyday fluorescence microscopy, pictured right.

  • Fluorescence Freedom: 8 powerful LEDs span 340-635 nm to cover all popular calcium and pH indicators, fluorophores and opsins from Fura-2 to Cy5, as well as futureproofing for novel fluorophores as they become available.
  • Lightning-fast microscopy: Capture dynamic events at the highest temporal resolution and enhance the accuracy of ratiometric measurements with <7 µs TTL triggering.
  • Affordable automation: Transform a manual microscope into a powerful automated imaging system, with inline excitation filters and our unique 8-channel Sequence Runner for triggering illumination sequences with just a single TTL-out of a camera.2107002 pE800fura Spectrum v3 01
  • Low phototoxicity: Protect your experiments from phototoxicity and photobleaching and push the boundaries of time-lapse studies with fine irradiance control and individual channel switching via software, digital and analogue.

Backed by CoolLED’s world-renowned support and warranty, the pE-800fura joins the popular pE-800 in the pE-800 Series which makes next-generation LED illumination technology accessible to life science researchers worldwide.

The pE-800fura is available to pre-order today, and will have a three week lead time from 22nd November, 2021.

Cutting edge LED Illumination Systems

CoolLED designs and manufactures cutting edge LED Illumination Systems for researchers and clinicians using the latest LED technology.

Since our team of four introduced the first commercially available LED Illumination System in 2006, we have led the way in transforming LED microscope lighting for fluorescence microscopy and transmitted illumination. Now we are a fast-growing company in Hampshire with a vast product range and technical expertise spanning optical engineering and the life sciences.
