Carmen Ferrari, a qualified meetings professional with a bachelor degree in business administration, joins EPIC (European Photonics Industry Consortium) as Events and Marketing Manager. Carmen is passionate about bringing people together and has a wealth of experience in facilitating interaction among individuals. Her role includes management of events and expands to any form of online/offline interaction among experts and leaders of the international photonics community.
EPIC enables the industry to build meaningful, long-lasting and strategic relationships. Bringing people together is at the core of the association’s mission. By hiring an Events and Marketing Manager, EPIC continues to carry out its mission and aims to bring it to the next level.
She commented, “I am very excited to join EPIC and play an active role in the fascinating world of photonics. I look very much forward to meet the community and work with the team to further enrich the on- and offline experience of our members.
“I hope to contribute in strengthening their existing connections, establish new contacts, and eventually contribute to their overall success in the industry.”

“The timing for Carmen to join the EPIC team is perfect as it allows us to extend our offering of member services from technology workshops to now also include a series of international business delegations,” said Carlos Lee, Director General of the association. EPIC has numerous requests to help its members make fruitful contacts not only in Europe but across the world and in regions that are harder to reach. Delegations are currently in preparation for China, Singapore, Israel, Brazil and considered for Russia, and South Africa.
