State Trade and Export Promotion grant to bolster SemiNex’s international growth.
SemiNex is pleased to announce that the company was awarded a grant for international marketing and business development through the State Trade and Export Promotion program (STEP). The intent of the STEP program is to help offset international business development and related marketing costs for small businesses such as SemiNex.
SemiNex used the funds in 2013 as a first time exhibitor at the World of Photonics exhibition in Munich, Germany. Neal Stoker, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, commented that “STEP funding allows SemiNex to extend its marketing reach and invest in new growth areas. We have already closed several new opportunities and have a number of new customer pursuits underway as a result of this stepped-up international funding.”
SemiNex produces high power lasers from 1300 to 1700 nanometers. Standard wavelengths, including 1310, 1350, 1450, 1470, 1532, 1550 and 1625 nanometers, are available off the shelf in a variety of packages, including submounts, fiber coupled devices and multi-chip modules.
SemiNex lasers are used in an array of applications, including medical, home use medical, LIDAR, SWIR illumination, targeting, and range finding.
