Latest agreement brings total Northrop orders for laser camera to $15M.
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Intevac Photonics, a subsidiary of Intevac, Inc. (Nasdaq:IVAC - News) announced today it has received a $6.7 million production order for LIVAR® (Laser Illuminated Viewing and Ranging) cameras from Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC - News) for use in airborne, long-range target identification, with shipments expected within the next thirteen months. With this new order, Intevac has now received $15 million in LIVAR production orders from Northrop Grumman for deployment on multiple aircraft platforms. This represents the continuation of an ongoing multi-year business opportunity for LIVAR cameras.

The LIVAR M506 imaging camera operates in the short wave infrared portion of the light spectrum for multiple military applications, from surveillance to long-range targeting and identification on both airborne and ground based applications.
