| Burgeoning demand for one of II-VI's core product lines - CO2 laser optics - has prompted the company to expand its capacity. Despite rapid adoption of fiber lasers for industrial materials processing applications, some processes are still well-suited to low-power CO2 lasers, while the emergence of laser-powered extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography equipment has spawned renewed demand for high-power CO2 laser systems.
