JWST: launch delayed
Though larger and much more powerful than Hubble, the 18-mirror James Webb Space Telescope weighs less than half that of its predecessor. JWST's October 2018 launch, penciled in seven years ago, has been put back until March-June 2019 - but NASA insists that the delay is only for logistical, rather than technical, reasons. Photo: NASA.
