Uveal melanoma: clinical presentation
According to the web site skincancer.org, uveal melanoma is the most common primary intraocular cancer, and the second most common form of melanoma. Difficult to treat, and with poor survival rates in patients where the disease has spread to the liver, this form of melanoma is regarded as aggressive and presenting an unmet clinical need. Auro Biosciences' laser-activated photodynamic therapy option is currently being evaluated in a clinical trial. Image: skincancer.org.
