Test sequence complete
A joint project between NASA, the European Space Agency, and the Canadian Space Agency, the James Webb Space Telescope is seen here inside the giant 'Chamber A' at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. Having survived Hurricane Harvey's impact shortly after testing began, the cryogenic testing was completed November 18. This marked JWST's final cryogenic testing, and ensured that the observatory is ready for the frigid, airless environment of space. Photo: NASA/Chris Gunn.
