| The orange color of the laser duide star developed by Toptica and Canadian partner MPB Communications is exactly the same as that of sodium street lamps. The laser has been tuned to that color to efficiently excite the sodium atoms in the high atmosphere that generate the "star" enabling adaptive optical correction of images distorted by atmospheric turbulence.
