| The last time Cree reported a net loss for its full fiscal year was way back in 2002. The LED maker generated its highest profits in 2010 and 2011, but since then the market for LEDs has become much more competitive, and the North Carolina firm is now looking to its lighting division to generate sales growth and profitability.
