Radical change: Philips Lighting sales 2009-2014
Although Philips' overall lighting division sales have increased only slightly over the past five years, the share of those sales attributed to LED products has increased dramatically. In 2009, the LED share was only 8%, but in the second quarter of 2014 the proportion (shown here as the red line) had swelled to 36%. Source: Philips annual reports and financial data.
