| Finisar's sales dropped to their lowest level in two years during the latest quarter, and the trend seen over that period has been for significantly lower spending by customers on telecom components (shown in red) in particular. However, Finisar's executive chairman Jerry Rawls believes that this situation must change before long if telecoms networks are to keep pace with the growth in demand for internet bandwidth.
