Forecasting the PV market is a difficult undertaking at the best of times, but with today's economic challenges and political uncertainties is even tougher than normal. EPIA reckons that the world currently has just under 70 GW of PV-based electricity generating capacity installed, and the lower end of its forecast predicts an increase to 200 GW by 2016. But with more generous political support that figure could be as high as 340 GW. Source: EPIA. |
