| After three sequential quarters of decline, orders from the optics firm II-VI appear to have turned the corner in the latest period. The Pittsburgh company's fiscal year 2012 ends on June 30. Sales of tellurium metal are included in the "Military & Materials" segment, while the "Advanced Product Group" relates to compound semiconductor products. "Infrared Optics" includes sales of CO2 laser optics, while "Near-infrared Optics" includes telecommunications applications such as filters for passive optical networks.
