In 2009, Greenvolts was constructing a 2 MW facility on an 8 acre site in Tracy, California. The plant was expected to feature hundreds of 3 kW, two-axis metal-framed trackers, with a diameter of nearly 6 m, and parabolic mirrors to focus the sunlight onto multi-junction photovoltaic cells.
