| Unlike today's standard rigid silicon and CdTe solar panels, SoloPower's CIGS-based products are flexible, and manufactured using a low-cost, roll-to-roll process. Ultimately that should allow for lower-cost solar electricity production, but fitting out a manufacturing facility to produce the modules in large volumes is still a very costly exercise.
