While the eastern coastline of China is home to much of the country's industrial heartland, the more remote western areas have much greater solar resources. The sunniest parts of south-west China are largely mountainous, but the north-west is much more suitable for utility-scale PV, and according to Solarbuzz this area accounts for two-thirds of the country's fast-growing non-residential PV pipeline. |
