The Marine Optical Buoy (MOBY) is located 20 kilometers off the coast of Hawaii. It consists of two buoys: the optical buoy and the mooring buoy. The optical buoy contains the sensors which extend into the ocean water, while the mooring buoy keeps the optical buoy in place.
