| Lumentum said that sales of pump lasers for optical communications - such as this 400mW uncooled 980nm module - were at record levels in its financial year that ended last month. Sales of such components are regarded as a strong sign of future investment in the rest of the optical network, and the California-based photonics company is expecting strong demand to continue for the foreseeable future.
