| Danger zone: in warehouses, vehicles cause accidents far too often. The goal of BASF, Kinotex Sensor GmbH and Fraunhofer IWS was to integrate safety technology into the vehicles in order to protect employees even better.A specially developed proximity sensor is used to protect the user from crushing, especially in the area around the feet. It detects when the operator moves too close to the danger zone ahead of the vehicle and stops it. © Fraunhofer IWS. |
