| As the largest PV module manufacturer in the US, First Solar is also the only one of the top-ten leading global PV firms to utilize thin-film CdTe technology rather than crystalline silicon as the key material in its products. Its existing modules deliver around 19% efficiency, but that is expected to rise to 25% with the incorporation of silicon in future multi-junction modules.
