| Figures from the VDMA Machine Vision Board suggest that the market for machine vision components and systems made in Germany will be worth €3.3 billion this year - up very strongly from the coronavirus-related dip in 2020. However, the group is cautious about making any predictions for 2023, because of both macroeconomic uncertainties and the belief that some of the recent growth resulted from stockpiling of key components.
