| Lumentum's management team said that the company was witnessing strong demand from the telecommunications market for pump lasers like this small-form-factor 980 nm distributed feedback laser. Pump lasers are often a lead indicator of a wider upturn in the sector, as they are needed for new optical cable deployments - although it is currently too early to say whether that is the case now.
