Lung nodule imaging
Mauna Kea's laser-based cell imaging system was evaluated alongside the "Monarch" robotic bronchoscope, developed by the Johnson & Johnson subsidiary Auris Health. The technology is said to enable access to small, peripheral nodules in the lung - sometimes tiny lesions that can be very difficult to reach with conventional manual bronchoscopes.
