Aeration blowers provide a key process step in wastewater treatment, by enabling biodegradation of nitrogen-containing pollutants. These blowers also represent a large chunk of power consumption for water treatment facilities - something that Max-IR says could be reduced by around 20% by implementing real-time monitoring of the nitrogen pollutant levels. The Dallas firm's QCL-based sensors promise to do just that. Image: Raetts Group. |
