| Now employing more than 800 people, Lumibird is primarily focused on lasers and photonic components - although last year's acquisition of Australia's Ellex has given it access to medical ultrasound equipment. The company's next move could be to acquire CILAS, although if local media reports are correct it would face stiff competition from Safran and MBDA.
